70mph on my new sv650 naked im finding it hard to ride at that speed for long time, i knew it was going to be windy being naked but not this bad , do you get used to riding at these speeds and before any one says i should have got a faired sv , i not keen on them.

A different screen might help deflect the wind over/away from you....how tall are you?

I rode London to Manchester on the M6 with my naked SV. You get used to it. I can average 80-90MPH for about an hour, which is about the same time my bladder can hold a half litre of coke.

Don't worry then, you'll soon get muscles in your neck that will enable you to headbutt a rhino into submission

Even on my SV sport the wind is hard work (although I am 6ft 3) although i can tuck in to hide a bit. I have found myself getting more used to it though and definitely seem to need a wee before i need a break from the wind!!

You'll soon get used to it and your muscles in your neck will get stronger. Just keep on getting out there.

Basically stop being a poofter, you get used to it, it's when you put waterproofs on it really starts to try and drag you off!
(see michelin man effect on my pic over there <<<)

You'll get used to it, don't worry. I was doing 100 miles a day on mine, mostly motorway at around 90+ and not having any problems.
Stick with it, and don't bother with any of those silly little wind deflectors as all they do is cause buffeting . . . your naked bike looks much better without it ![]() |
