Top Box / Rack / Something hard to put stuff in

I'm after a budget thing to put some stuff in - I tried Tesco's veggie boxes and unfortunately my boxer shorts fell out on the M25!

So does anyone have anything that'd work for a 2k mile trip to Spain? Not taking a lot so only need a top box, I reckon some of the rack sets look rank some vaguely aesthetically pleasing (pref. black) would be ideal.

Failing this could anyone point me in the direction of a nice, cheap, new alternative? What'd be great is something that replaces the pillion seat, but don't know if such a thing exists for the SV.

It's a very standard SV650 2003, btw! And I'm leaving in 2 weeks!

Get a spare pillion seat and bolt a big solid box to it? Renntec sportstrack, likewise with something attached?

My Givi topbox rack and box cost m about £50 all in off Ebay, some may mock but there's no easier way to travel or to haul stuff on an SV.

Top-boxes rule. You should be able to find something on ebay, otherwise maybe have a look in bikemart etc, see if someone is selling a bike with a top-box - they might let you have the top-box and rack?

Yeah I did try ebay, there's a fake Givi (can you fake something that's already a copy!) but rank for £25, I think my time constraint is against me.

That's awesome! Only really wanted to spend no more than a ton, but beggars can't be choosers and all that. Going to see if a local dealer stocks it, and if so wait a week to see if eBay, bikemart comes up trumps then buy, buy, buy!

I have got somewhere a renntec rack, plate and a box.....not a huge one but very useable....... Rack is for K3 onwards. Interested?

I'd definitely like to see it! Was becoming to resigned that I might use a soft one - as that Suzuki one is £180 all in. Whereabouts are you etc. - I'll drop you a PM!
