why did you buy the sv, was it because that it is a lower priced bike or for the looks , i brought mine because i love the look , naked blue k6, im not keen on the curvy . i could have brought any thing up to £5500 but it was the naked sv for me.

Best bike to have restricted. Cheap. V-twin (overrun noise wholly justifies my purchase alone). Carries two in some sort of comfort.

I bought my SV because I had heard it was a good first big bike to get and was not so full on as the sportsbikes like the GSXR/CBR/R6. I found this forum and you guys like them so much, gave balanced reviews and at a price I could afford. Before getting mine on 1st Sept I had never rode an SV before....the largest bike I rode was the DAS Kwak ER5

My brother had a curvy and I loved the V-TWIN sound track that came with it, thought it would help get me in with the ladies as well

Did DAS and got myself a pointy, loving every min of it and loving that V-TWIN roar.

ps - it didn't help get the ladies buy the way

I was gonna buy a GSX750R but my dad said that I would probably kill myself sooner on a gixxer than on a SV...
I'm still here... so it was the best choice.
and what a cracking bike it is too.

I wanted a monster but the SV was better, cheaper, more reliable and generally better value for money and easier to get hold of.
