Default 1000miles+

I've had a long trek this half-week, if such a phrase exists. From Newcastle to Kent, then Kent to South Wales, and then back to Newcastle. A few things I have learnt

1. My bike will red line in 6th wooooooop!
2. I can't do 130+ for a whole minute (50 seconds is my best!)
3. I can do 120 all day
4. Anyone who commutes on the M25 is twisted, wrong...just and idiot!
5. I still haven't managed 200 miles in one tank (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=97546)
6. The SV could do 1000 miles a day in its stride
7. A 400 mile trip is merely a commute
8. The more time I spend with my bike the better
9. Mondo Enduro is a must read
10. A 'bottle' is needed for a b&b stay (in my case ouzo)

(11. I always display kmph officer)

I don't know, he mentioned the M25 and perhaps other motorways so it could ease the boredom a little?

This is true, I often end up singing for lack of reading material, and then onto some sort of bobbing up and down as I dance along to my singing

I must look a prat when I'm bored, riding along on the motorway

Top effort dizzy makes my 23 mile / 1 hour journey to kingston seem rather trivial

Glad to hear it. I'm off to France on Friday and the furthest I've ridden on mine is Barmouth (about 60 miles)!

If only it was touring somewhere nice! However thankyou nice men who made the Severn toll free If only the people at the Tyne Tunnel had any sense, they charge 20p! yes 2- get your gloves off - delve in to your pockets - put your gloves back on- 0 - pence! Seaworld has a tunnel longer than the Tyne...
