aaahhh bugger

so, it would seem that i forgot ian's golden rule.

i came off yesterday on vauxhall bridge. i managed to avoid the car that turned into my lane, but hit a nice wet slippery manhole cover instead. i ended up wedged into the gutter under my bike.

i can tell you, i have some very pretty colours all over me now!

thanks go to ian, ricardo and of course raf. who like the knights of old with shiny armour and firey steeds, came to my rescue. along with an ambulance and 2 police cars who argued over which jurisdiction i crashed in.

i have a nice bodged gear lever, indicator on order, and am now looking for some not quite so scratched and holey fairing. gutters are sharp! but all the damage is purely cosmetic. i managed to save the bike a bit of damage by being underneath it i think.

but no one gets to admire my bruises as i will be off gallivanting around Prague this weekend. you will all have to wait till next week when they have probably turned a more healthy shade of yellow.

now i sit waiting for the cajoling to start. its only fair its my turn.

Sorry to hear about the crash, main thing is ur fine that bike can be fixed is also good....

Do you need to get new bike new bike gear as well? That would be a pain....thats funny that the cops that argued they probally didn't want to fill in the paper. Is anything going to happen to the driver that casued you to crash, I really hope they get done.
