Someone pointed out to me at Soho that the main beam had terible condensation in it. Shouldn'e is be sealed at the factory to stop moisture ingress and should I get it sorted under warranty? Thanking you kindly.

Water in headlights is never good, I'd reckon you have a defective unit if its got a lot in it. That or its not sealing round the edge of the bulb and its getting dribbled on.
Which considering you have a daytona, you *******, I presume people dribble on it quite a bit ![]()

Check this out Chris:
http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=98454 Dribble away! I'll get it sorted at the service. The headlight is one of those golfball tyes so I reckon it's supposed to be completely sealed. |

Condensation in a headlight also means an MOT Fail

Is it a little bit of mist on the inside, or full on dribble and droplets.
You often get a mist type condensation forming on the lense due to temperature changes, I have seen this on even £100k+ cars If its dribble/droplets then get it back in under warranty if it still is. |

teriyaki
have the same issue with me VROD, its only slight but was enough to cause some staining (if thats the right word) on the reflector part. The unit is not totally sealed since the sidelight and headlight bulbs fit in through their respective holes (although when they are seated properly, it is effectively a sealed unit) - hope that made sense ![]() The warranty runs out in April next year so the garage has promised to change it under warranty before then. Would guess that yours may be under warranty as well (if within the 2 years from new) |

My headlight has the bulb within the "golf ball" bit so there may be a totally sealed bit in there. I'll have to look and ask at the dealers.
