Default Sv is gone but new bike bought within 3 hours.

The SV R alien has now gone i handed it over on sat to its new owner for a wad of cash that burnt a hole in my pocket so big it only lasted a mere 3 hours

I have now officially moved over to the dark side (quite literally) i am about to be the proud owner of a very blinged up, carbon clad Ducati 749 dark to say i'm excited is an understatement. Its got mirrors lights and indicators and everything i'm going to be so confused riding it

Pics to be added when i pick it up on sat but it kinda looks like tonyb's only it has flat paint instead of shiny and its got a few cc's missing.

speaks volumes of ducati's build quality when the highlights for a second hand one are that the lights, mirrors and indicators are still attached and working

Picked the duke up this morning and have been messing about with it for a few hours today. First impressions are Wow it looks so good and sounds absolutely immense however after having had a little ride on it the handling is superb and the brakes are great i'm loving the slipper clutch but it feels so so slow seriously the sv was quicker then this rattleing tractor

I really dont think its running right at all as its popping and farting all the time on a constant part throttle it also doesnt idle at all when its warm and stalls when coming to a stop. I swapped the racefit can for the stock exhaust as the racefit is blowing and i thought it might be causing the poor running but its still pretty rubbish. Also top speed was struggling to pull 120 so its defo got a problem somewhere

Confused at the min and really dishearted with it already. I need to figure out how to raise the idle speed and see if that makes a difference. The starter circuit is crap and i think thats gonna break on it soon as i'm having to constantly restart it after it stalls and the gearbox is a pain in the bum for clutchless upshifts in all i cant see me keeping this very long tbh unless its miraculously different when i get it running properly.

pics of it looking nice before i set fire to it

short vid of it actually idleing

plans for it are
get in running properly and decide if i like it or not
sell it nearer the summer but strip all the modded parts off to sell seperatly and make some money on it.

got loads of bits with it heres a list of the mods and bits

carbon front mudguard
carbon rear mudguard
carbon clutch cover (not fitted)
carbon exhaust heel heatshield (not fitted)
clear db srceen
dark tint dn screen (not fitted)
