Idle Banter For non SV and non bike related chat (and the odd bit of humour - but if any post isn't suitable it'll get deleted real quick).
There's also a "U" rating so please respect this. Newbies can also say "hello" here too.

Default Newbie saying Hey!

Time to put the "Curvy" to hibernate for the winter - the forecast says there is a storm front coming from the Atlantic and it means that the season is over. Some snow comin on saturday latest. Maybe the season starts again in April.. or May, different winters. Looking forward for the global warming

I bought the Curvy as my first bike, it's a -00 model, red and has some slight mods like Akrapopowithz-can and changed indicators in the back to give more room for luggage. Nothing too special, I've just been riding and learning. Seems to be a good bike for a beginner, but after one season I'm looking forward to many more with it. A bigger bike would be good for touring, but for the trips we make it seems like a waste. XX would be cool, sure.

During the winter I'm looking to do basic maintenance; oils, filters, cam-tensioner... Maybe fit lowers (if I find something from ebay) and fit a 12 volt output for mobile charger, gps etc. The chat on SV's in Finland is quite limited - just the normal "what is that ticking noise", "where to get a bellypan" and so forth. This forums seems to have more action to it

Anyway, just decided to say Hi and continue to go through the threads...

Cheers,

Ville

Both are "okay", depending what you are trying to express..

The first one is something like "prefer to at funny get apartment" and the latter "prefer that at mental institution" Just wondering who has taught you these

We taught one english kid to say "I'm an english boy, I eat iron and **** chains.." - it sounds better in Finnish. Really. Or then it is just in my head.
