He was in a locked hotel room and they walked in on the guy! How could he possibly have been breaching the peace by simulating sex in a hotel room. He wasn't up the chicken aisle in Tesco's, or even in the bicycle section of Halfords, or even in a public toilet! And the sex offenders register? Was that the national society for the protection of bicycles that persuaded the judge of that one? "Put him on the register, he'll never get a job with Raleigh after that! And certainly not the bicycle division at the post office!"

Lets turn the tables a bit. Your in a locked hotel room. No actually, the judge is in a locked hotel room. He's not just simulating sex, but doing his wife for all he's worth. Of course he ignores the bloody door, this is the first time she's not had a headache in three months and wild horses wouldn't stop him. Or maybe he's just having a lonely right hand tango over a picture of his labrador. The hostel owner barges in and calls the police 'cos he's breaching the peace?

OK, you wouldn't catch a judge dead in a hostel, but you get my point.

To me a bloke having his wicked way with his beloved bike in the privacy of his own room/home does not constitute a breach of the peace.????????
