do you have to wear glasses for ridding, do you just wear sunglasses and a clear visor, or use a tinted visor.....
i know a few peeps that wear glasses under a tinted viser, and just wondered why? as it would seem easier to carry a spare pair of glasses, rather than a visior. ![]() |

if i had a normal helmet it would be glasses instead of a tinted visor. I do a lot of night riding especialy on the way back from places and am too lazy take a spare visor with me and then have to change it.
The question doesnt really apply as ive got a caberg which has an inbuilt sunvisor which i think is the most usefull thing to be put on a helmet ive ever seen. Also makes going through tunnels a hell of a lot easier in the middle of summer. |

Well I've already got sunglasses see, so there's no extra expense involved. Plus let's just say I'd like to avoid any police entanglements...

Don't wear them at all on the bike. I just try to avoid hitting anything moving.

My mate, whos stupid and a scousser, once got pulled over for wearing a tinted visor. Only when the copper walked up to him did her realise he was also wearing sunglasses(which he'd put on after he stopped!)
The coppers exact words where 'I cant be bothered with this, just loose the sunglasses' And we where on our way. |

I used to use a road legal tinted visor (e marked and more than 50% light passes through) and sunglasses. I normally have the visor up though unless my eyes get sore (eyes very sensitive to light)

I guess it would be cheaper to buy have a tinted visor than a pair of prescription sunglasses (if you didn't already have some). I wear contact lenese all the time so not much of a prob for me. Tinted visor looks cooler as well.

I use a "medium" tint visor (not legal but not the solid black kind) which I've found is usually OK even when it gets dark. I don't think I'd like wearing sunglasses, it sounds uncomfortable (although I haven't tried).
Are people already getting out their tinted visors? I'm still on my clear "winter" one...doesn't seem right wearing a tinted visor when it's not warm! ![]() |

Yeah noticed it being pretty bright...sun is low these days...but still not switched cos of the above (doesn't feel right) lol! Thing is, my tinted visor only helps when it's too bright generally...and at the moment, I've only got problems cos the sun is low and shining in my eyes.
