I've got a bad cold just now. Could that be why my gums are aching ?
Feels like I've been punched in the jaw

Could be pressure on the nerves from some sinus trouble? Take some sudafed, see if that helps

Have you been to the doctors? You have had a bad cold for a few days now, might be worth a visit.

Well it sounds like it is getting worse to me, you have gone from just having a cold, to a bad cold and now aching gums
