Default '99 curvey naked clocks - advice please.

Hmmm, where do I start...

I have no speedo on my sv (nor rev. counter) - its not the sender, its the clocks... for sure.

Now, I have 'made do' without them (hehehe) without getting any tickets etc, but I am going to pop the bike on fleebar very soon, as it's time for an upgrade methinks...

I don't wanna sell it minus the speedo/rev counter, but alas, even on this great forum I am struggling to find a set of clocks I even tried bikehut bike breakers

So, what I would like to know is this:

Has anyone fitted other clocks to the '99 curvewy naked model? like clocks off the faired version, or bandit clocks - even aftermarket ones? (I need to have the oil warning and temp warning lights, and backlit display really).

Anyone got advice for me? - keep it polite guys

Cheers!

Easiest to fix the stock clocks...

You can fit various acewell dash units, and similar. Or clocks from the pointy, or bandit, or lots of others. But all will require more faffing about with wiring.

Chances are your clocks are fine and the loom isn't supplying them with power or earth.

W E L L L - The charge controller went ac/dc, blew all the fuses, lights, everything... replace all i needed to, but stopped short of the speedo!

Noe it is all the way around to the redline, past it in fact... even when I disconnect the wires from the back... all of them... the needles (both) are all the way around to the rivet... Soooooo I think the clocks are shot... but if you think it could be summat different, let me know - I am at the stage that I will try most things!!!

Cheers for the reply!

I believe mine was a naked thats been converted to a faired, the clocks on mine are from the s, The lights on Oil, Battery, Neau and indy's all come on but there is only 1 light behind the speedo and rev counter which its useable but can be annoying sometimes at around dusk.
Have I helped or got the wrong end of the stick completely ?
