DIdnt know R&G did heated grips. Hopefully they are more reliable than the oxofrd ones. The oxford grips are actualy quite good....its the controller which is lame. Well, the modern controller is lame, I liked the old controller with a on/off button. The grips never turned off then when the battery got a wee bit cold and the voltage dropped

they should be universal.

make sure they are the right size though, as you can get bigger ones for cruiser type bikes

i did not know R&G made them either, im happy with my oxfords on the blade, but did have problems on the SV

Apparently they fit 22mm bars. So should be okay half the price of Oxfords, just wndering about reliability if its half price!!!!

R&G make some pukka gear, so would expect them to be good

how much are they?

The R+G ones are made by someone else and repackaged. I'm pretty sure Gericke used the same type and sold them for about 40 quid.

If they'll fit 22mm bars then they'll be fine for any Japanese/Italian bike. The only bikes I know of that don't have 22mm bars are Harleys, but that's to be expected when dealing with superannuated prehistoric piles of crap.

I was very happy with the Symtec grip heaters. Easy to fit under stock grips and toastie warm.

Nobbylad, how did you install the symtec grip heaters? they look like a great idea. Did you splice the ignition circuit and wire them into that?
