Default New Computer Case help..

My PSU has gone pooof, and it would appear cheaper to replace the whole case...

Now the Comp us 5 yrs old.. I built it myself with the assistance of my brother,

can anyone tell me what case I need?

Its an IDE Hard drive.. so ill need IDE power supply, the Mother board is a Gigabyte with a ATA 133 chipset but I can't find any more info on it and I don't want to order the wrong thing.

Any help will be appreciated.

Cheers

Alex

If you're buying a case with a PSU included that is cheaper than a PSU on it's own, chances are the PSU included with the case will fail soon anyway....

Is your computer roughly a standard looking size? Assuming it is, you'll need a midi-ATX case like this and a PSU like this will do the trick.

Had a few PSUs randomly go on me over the past decade or so. Tended to always be the ones which came bundled with cases, so like Spikenipple said it's only a matter of time. Only one PSU hasn't gone on me, and been running it for 3years, and that's a Hiper, but they are pricey!

Bought a new case with PSU the other week, in order to build my new server.

Turned out the new mother board needed an additional 8 pin 12v supply, so I had to go out and buy a blinking expensive PSU for this new standard. The bundled PSU had a 4pin 12V for "modern boards that require extra power, but no, there is yet another standard
