Default Tripometer reset (wheel/knob)

I've err....lost the little tripometer reset knob that comes out of the side of the clocks on the other half's GZ125. HOw, I have no idea.

Now its pretty tricky working out when to fill up the tank, for obvious reasons.

Can this part be bought (in general)? I've searched the interwebz but I cant find anything apart from the entire clocks (I dont fancy changing them....)

Specifically - has anyone fixed this before - regardless of the kind of bike it happened to?

Cheers

Is it electric or a spin it about type one?

Its the manual "spin it round" flavour

I assume the replacement part looks like a sort of elongated drawing pin, but will have some sort of "end" on it that meshes into one of the numbered dials.

Take clocks apart and see. Maybe you can epoxy on some bolt or piece of rod?

Hmm, never thought of that.

whats the chances of taking them apart and not being able to refit them together?

Are they usually relatively easy to disassemble or might they be moulded together? (cant check - the bikes not here but will see tomorrow)
