I have been browsing the internet for some mirrors and there are a few people saying the zx750r mirrors bolt straight on? Is this the case?

It would help to know what years of al bikes concerned.
However, I'm pretty certain that the G,J,A1P (98-02) ZX6Rs use the same spacing between the bolts. Whether the length or pitch of the threads is the same I don't know off the top of my head but could check without too much trouble. Curvy S wing mirrors, are brilliant as you can fold them in easily and pop them out to where they were adjusted before. Jambo
