Default Slippy roads

Just a heads up folks. Be carefull out there The roads are still slippy whether its ice, grease or diesel. The temps here are still regularly below zero so be aware.

I had the unfortunate privelage of helping a ER6f and a moped back to the vertical and get going again this morning, And i only nipped to the shops (10miles)

The kwak was a bit rashed down the lhs and lost the mirror, levers etc bent but not broken, rider was fine but favouring his ribs abit. couldn't get it started. Eventually got it going, had to be in neutral and clutch in, dont know if this is the norm??

moped was fine, couple of scratches. 2 seperate incidents btw.

So stay safe folks.

Still snowy here. Roads are still white with piles in the middle. Very unwise in the country areas on a bike just now

does'nt help when the council also start resurfacing work but by removing the ashalt layer leave the base layers with scores which attract water & freeze... or guide your tyres where you don't want to be.... ( road between Lochgelly & cardenden ) bloody nightmare almost had an off tonight as the surface change is just as you come out of a bend.....

I took the bike to work on Thursday, and the roads were really greay in the morning, but by the time I came out of work my saddle had ice on it! Nearly passed out there and then, but decided not to be such a girl and it was ok actually, just took it slowly.

Full story later but at that point i'd just taken 3 .5hrs to do 100 motorway miles through 3 blizards, ridiculos amounts of roadworks, just watched a rubbernecker crash his car looking at the 3 lane pile up on the otherside and a black tarpaulin being pulled over a body on the other carriageway.
Was freezing, sore and a bit wound up then just realised i'd ridden past the preston cut off.
