Default Say No to 0870!

Not having a landline I've just had (another) whopping bill in from Vodafone because I'm forced to use 0845, 0844, 0800 and worst of all 0870 numbers to call companies.

I've just found http://www.saynoto0870.com/ which gives you an alternative number that is included on your free minutes bundle from a mobile

Sweeeet!

I use it a lot. I Always phone my insurers (MCE) through that. They are a little confused when I come through to the wrong department but I just say one of their muppets put me through by accident.

If you still find yourself having to use 08xx numbers I think Vodafone have an option on new contracts to include them in your monthly minutes for £2.50

Might be worth a call if it's still costing you more than that...

Internet Explorer, Opera, Firefox, Chrome etc. yeah they are good apps for Windows 7 and access more than just saynoto0870.com which is a great site for finding low cost calls but watch out for companies who have gotten wise to it, intelligent phone systems know what calls to route and what not to.
