Default Which alternative shock? Pointy.

Hi Guys,
I've read some things about replacing the rear shock on my 2012 pointy.

What is a good option? I don't want to spend too much, but I have heard it's a good upgrade. My front end is standard and probably will remain so.

Thanks
Dan

Changing the front gives a better improvement than changing a new standard rear shock unless you weight significantly more than average or always take pillions.

PS Define 'good upgrade' what are you after?

Get your front forks rebuilt first, it'll make much more difference and if you up the preload on the rear with improved forks it's not so bad, but if you're after a cheap rear shock upgrade the easiest (no cutting) is from a 2007 Kawasaki ZX10 which should cost £60/70 if you do it yourself, although if you put your weight and riding style up there will be much more knowledgeable guys on here to help you!
