Default Yet another indicator question...

On the basis of advice before, I ordered some Motrax Diamonds (23W).

Firstly, am I right in thinking that the standard bulbs are 21W?

Secondly, I ordered from Busters, and one pair of indicators are great. The others, are in a very different package, but look the same. There's also only one wire coming out of them, not two. (How can a bulb work with only one wire?) The look physically the same other than this. The packaging also states a different (higher) price than the ones they invoiced me for.

Have they sent the wrong ones? Thinking that some bikes might ground on to where the indicators are mounted, possibly (therefore only taking a positive feed - but the SV isn't like this, as evidenced from the wiring diagram).

you and indicators ...

standard bulbs are indeed 21W, or at least they were on my K3. I have 23W bulbs now and it makes no (noticeable) difference.

I beg to differ

It does make a noticable difference having 23W bulbs (I've only fitted the rear, the front's are going back):
1) The flash a little slower, as evidenced by putting the hazards on whilst the right one was the new Motrax & the left was stock
2) They're a hell of a lot brighter (tested them as per #1, in the dark )

ok maybe it's just my 23W bulbs then...

i should therefore clarify...if you switch them all over, you can't tell they aren't the right wattage...compared to the original 8W bulbs in the indicators, which flashed wayyy too fast...

i'm not sure about how bright they are on mine though - the lens on the indicator is a lot different - standard indicator spreads the light out better whereas the new ones are a lot more focussed since the lens isn't really textured, it's pretty much just clear, meaning the light isn't spread and it looks brighter.

so perhaps i should beg to differ as well
