just a quick make ..
some thin ally so its easy to bend.. made a template out of cardboard. then flattened it back out to cut the shape. bent it.. sprayed it just with halfords matt black and then lacquered.. accidently dropped my can of primer on the floor- landed on the drill and had a pin hole.. paint everywhere- waslike Mr bean painting that room.. now all inside my shed is grey !. .. used from B and Q. aluminium in a mega big shhet.. it is number 88 50x50cm... cos I got other thigs to make (not for the bike),, now I got a good metal template might make some out of something a bit thicker ... whn I get time.. but I am quite happy with them. again - ta to a certain someone ( u know who ur) on the pennine catherine wheel.. for allthe pics and top tips.. anyone want me make you some .. for a price of course. ha ha .. they look better with the naked eye. .. theres a bit of tweeking needed.. like make the hole a bit bigger so I can slide it a bit forward on the bottom pic. but in general and considerin I was crap at school at metalwork and crafts.. i am quite chuffed.
I might get meself a template done and bang out a load to make some beer money on here at a fiver a time !! tried to paint them black and then speckle with grey primer and then spray lightly with black to get similar finish to the end of the bike.. but then the hole in my primer can put an end to that. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
