Default 2003 SV650 Idle Problem

Gents,

I recently purchased a second hand SV650 which I have enjoyed riding trouble free for the last few weeks. However, on the weekend I noticed that the bike was idling a little odd.

During the warm up from cold the bike would idle at my preferred level of 1400rpm but once warm (3 mins) the bike would begin to splutter and the rpm's would range from 3-4 seconds at 800rpm then 5 seconds at 2000rpm and then 15 seconds at 1300rpm and so on and so forth.

I have changed the oil and filter today, checked the airbox and also did a very quick check for air leaks in the fuel line. All of this proved non-conclusive. I was wondering if any of you have had experienced this kind of issue and if so how did you resolve?

Any and all input is most welcome.

Cheers,
Josh
