Default Thanks, Soho Rescue...

Well it looks like I have a dead Reg/Rec again, the charging test showed the following -

Idle 13.1 volts.
Rev 12.9 volts
Lights on -
Idle 13.2 volts.
Rev 13 volts.

The bike is still charging as the ride from work to Sarj's was enough that the bike started on the button.

So thanks to Jambo for coming out and suppling the battery.
Sid for coming out and suppling the jump leads.
Mark for offering to come over with a power pack and then coming over to Sarj's tonight with the power pack so I can ride the bike and jump it myself if it fails agian.

Soho Rescue FAB.

What's wrong with those numbers? I would have thought they looked good?
OK closer to 14 would be better, but even using lights your battery is 13
Oh & great to hear the rescue package

After some discussion with the Sid last night it is more suspected that the problem lies with my battery. As you said those numbers are not great, but as I managed 5 starts last night with no problems it might be the battery again.

What battery did you get before? Cheap ones don't last long (my dad found this out when he brought a halfrauds one for his car to "save" money). I got a yuasa for my SV recently, as my old battery was on its way out.

I think its a Yuasa in my SV at the moment, but it is one I acquired. Though I will need to check as I have another and I'm not sure if I swapped it.
