Default Insurance time again - any to avoid?

Hi all

Doing the calling round thing and got some reasonable quotes, much of a muchness really but are there any to avoid?

So far Carol Nash at £226, 1yr NC, 4k/yr, £150 xs, inc kit and legal cover seems the best bet. Not used them before so any opinions would be useful.

Bennets are £40 higher, Motorcycle Direct are about £30 higher and both have £250 xs.

Cheers

Trace

From various experiences I've read on here over the years, avoid Bennetts like the plague.

Carole Nash (for me anyway) included full UK breakdown and even 90 days Eurpean breakdown cover. PLus legal cover thrown in too. Most people seem to think that CN have the most comprehensive policy so if they are the cheapest as well, its a bonus. Go for them, I did

I've been with Bennetts on both my Varadero and SV and have no complaints. Thnk i pay around 130 on the SV.

Bennets is a no for me too. I dont think I like MCE now either. After ringing like 3 times asking about whether a PC3 makes any difference to price and they havnt told me... Sounds like they are a bit slack.

I used bennetts as my first insurance provider and from the start they wern't that great, and to top it all when my renewal was up they quoted me £300 more than my previous year even with 1 years NCB, wtf!!!!

I phoned express insurance for my GSXR and they were great and i recieved the documents the next day like promised, unlike Bennetts!

On a good note. Apart from the insurance quote for my latest bike which was expensive Motorcycle direct was GREAT! Even the claim and eveything went through fine. No messing really. Very happy with them.

I was with ebike for my first year. Was a reasonable price, £130ish TPFT, and i have 9 points and had just passed my test. When it came up for renewal, i didnt stay with them as the renewal price was £185 which included a years ncb and a 5% renewal discount

I went with insurance direct through confused.com, for £115, FC was just over £300.
