Just cos it's not a named brand don't mean that it's particularly bad or good.

If you want a carbon lid there are HJC FG-10 (i think) carbon on ebay from a reputable seller for £180, it's quite a bit more expensive but personally I really like HJC and I've recently bought a HJC IS-16 for £65! (Brand new obviously), an upgrade from an aged HJC CS-14 which I loved

I've heard of Duchini before and they seem quite affordable but I couldn't tell you anything about their quality or comfort :S I'd always try a helmet on before buying one, I was disappointed by hloves that I bought online without being able to try any on so I'd be even more cautious about helmets... But that's just me :P

Didn't/doesn't Lozzo's shop sell these? If I remember it ended up with a bit of a stramash when someone slagged them and he put them in their place

Follow the link in post No 4.
Oh and just because something is cheap it doesn't always follow it's junk.
I bought a KBC lid for my work run as I wanted a hi vis for commuting.
It's very comfortable, quite enough and a great fit. Double D chin strap ACU gold.
£70

If you are looking for a pretty decent cheap lid, then crack on. They have recently revamped the entire range of shells, as the old ones were approx 7 years old in design. They have some nice looking new shells, and if that is how much you can afford at the time, then go for it!

Dunno about the helmets but I have a pair of their summer gloves which have been in use pretty much daily for the last year or so except when the weather is too cold for them. Well made, comfortable once broken in - all in all a good product. If the helmets are made with the same degree of quality consideration then they should be pretty damned good.

CharleyFarley you may like to look at the following link:

http://sharp.direct.gov.uk/testhelme...discontinued=1

These are the 4 star rating Duchni helmets. 4 stars are what my Shark helmet has. Click on the links to get more detailed test results. A shark technical bod said that the most importance is the fit, and assuming that it meets the required specification then all the rest is added value in comfort, lightness, extra features, etc.
