Default Bigger pointy fuel tank

Hi guys, I am getting good mpg from my 04 pointy but getting a little annoyed at how quickly the tank runs out, so if there a solution that people already use. Is there a bigger tank or Could I get the tank made bigger

Cheers

Only posibilty is maybe the tank off an Sv1000. To have one modified or made is a specilist job and will cost. Tank capacity is limited by the air box under the tank.

oh here's another solution, control your right hand.

what mpg are you getting? It might indicate a problem.

Not sure where you're based but there's a place in Hartlepool that can enlarge your tank, ive not used them and can only guess its a good few quid but its an option.

Ok so the SV100 is 1litre bigger would that enhance it enough

Harlow to central London is getting me about 170-180 miles per tank

Don't think my right wrist is to heavy lol

Cool solution but was hoping for more of a no need to stop approach as if I am stopping I might as well fill up completely

If the tank is control by the air box can't it be built upwards thene.g tank bag shaped ?

It's possible to "hydraulically stretch" a tank, but that takes specialist gear. You basically blow it up like a baloon, and stretch the metal.
Can i suggest, as the SV has a fuel pump you see if there is somewhere on the bike you could hide a small auxilliary tank? It depends of course on how many extra litres you want to see. Having some kind of range in mind, and how much fuel you'd need for this would be a good starting point. If you know you need X many litres extra, then can you find a space on the bike for that kind of volume. Gravity feed that from the tank, and the fuel pump will deliver it to the engine in any case.

Seems alright.

Jerrycan and some bungees?

There aren't any off the shelf setups, they would all involve an aux tank and a pump. Doable easily enough but then you've got two tanks to fill.
