Got a fault where I've got intermittent side lights and dash, after having the bike in bits turns out to be worn cable in loom where there is movement by headstock. My advice to anyone buying an SV, check all electrics whilst moving handlebars. Now to get out the soldering iron and heatshrink.

The SV is no more or less susceptible in this respect than other bikes, it's not an unknown problem with any bike - movement and vibration are not a good mixture where wiring is concerned.
