SK4 fork spindle captive thread pitch and size?
Hi,
I've just finished rebuilding my forks after the lowers were powdercoated and on re-installing the front spindle/axle isn't going in properly. This is either because it's a). cross threaded or b). got powder coat on the threads - regardless of which it is I don't want to gibbon it back in as that's asking for trouble. I've been trying to identify a suitable tap and I think it's an M16, fine thread @ 1.25/1.5 (1.25 doesn't seem to exist) - can anyone confirm? 2004 SVS. Standard setup. Much appreciated, Al. |

For anyone who's interested the axle thread size is M16 x 1.5 (fine). Tap ordered.
