Engine Brake - Wheel Lock
Has anyone managed to lock the back wheel with the engine brake on the SV. I just did it on my way home from work and had the back end kick out. I don't know if there was something on the raod, but it safe to say I cacked myself.
I have always had IL4's before so the heavy engine braking is something new to me. |

Re: Engine Brake - Wheel Lock
Just a bit. If it had of been wet or I had rammed the throttle back open I would have been sat on my back side and my new Bike trashed.
It was two large kick outs, one left and one right. Bloke behind me in a car must have thought I was coming off because I heard his brakes screech. I totally shat myself. All part of the learning curve I suppose. |

Re: Engine Brake - Wheel Lock
You have to "blip" the throttle on down changes and maybe even feather the clutch.............sounds great coming up to a bend, 3 quick gear changes down with the stubby roaring...........fantastic.
Or weren't you shifting down? Maybe be a bit less abrupt in shutting the throttle, or get grippier tyres............ |
