Question manchester to winchburgh scotland

going away with my girlfriend and her parents up to scotland,
thinking of taking the bike as her uncle whos house we are staying at also has a bike and her cousin as well and there are bueatiful roads around there where they could take me out ...

what do you think im a new driver on a big bike but drove on the roads for around 3 years and i am quite confident on the motorway.

im on a naked bike though total trip would be 231 miles there setting off on a friday evening around 5 oclock

so what do you guys think .... any tips/advice welcome.

also on 33bhp.

i would be folowing a car all the way there.

Done pretty much the same distance myslf before and it was no sweat really, mind you I have a fairing! Other side of the coin though is you have higher bars and a more comfortable riding position for the distance, so you shouldn't have any problems with numb hands from putting too much weight on your wrists with clipons.

The main problem is motorways might get you there quick but they're boring - keep your wits about you and if you start to get tired / feel your concentration going, take a break, stretch legs & have a coffee etc.

off-topic slightly, but did you get your rear brake sorted?

It can be done. I did 3k in 10 days on a similar (unrestricted) pointy naked. You should be alright. Stop every 100 and you should be ok.

Iv rode around 250miles on my naked sv in one day, 700 in the whole weekend. Very comfortable and no problems at all. I was also on 33bhp. You should be fine.

Would be some tank range if you didn't stop!

You should be fine. Traffic heading north is fine once you get past Preston and you'll have daylight all the way.
