Uh - oh
I have no bike... It was sold this morning
What next then? I'm thinking CBR929 Fireblade Anyone ridden one? Or what else? Needs to be <£2k fairly nippy, and something I don't need to fight rust off all day long (i.e. probably not a suzuki ) |

Re: Uh - oh
Hovis had a 929 Blade before his got his Yellow 954 blade, I thnk K had a 929 blade as well.
TBH thats what I'd be looking for or maybe a Kwak 9R or a 12R, but I dont know if that fits in your budget or what they are like rust wise...

Re: Uh - oh
Bloke at my work has a 929 blade, loves it and says he will never need anything else.

the 929 was the first fuel injected blade, and they looked a lot more sporty than the older ones, there were problems with the fueling (which a PCIII sorted) but make sure its had the re-calls done, most importantly the forks......... i would go for a 954 if you could manage to find one i dont think you will get a 954 for 2k, and you may stugggle to get a "tidy" 929 for that money stretchie had a 929.......... not for very long though i think lozzo is selling a 929 Last edited by hovis; 28-03-09 at 04:13 PM. |

Quite liked the idea of a VFR, but the SV never hurt on long journeys, so I think a sportier bike is the way to go. Not sure how much extra oomph it would have over the SV too. Quote:

Re: Uh - oh
True! I ummed and ahhed about it for a while, as I love the looks of them (especially the black and gold!) but figured that I'd end up in trouble. Plus the costs of running them are obscene. £4k buys a good one, but that's two fireblades!
