Cooling fan operation - what temperature?
I got stuck at roadworks on the way home tonight and noticed that the temp had crept up to the high 90s. Before it got much higher the traffic cleared and it dropped down to the usual 77 / 78.
That got me wondering whether the fan hadn't cut in when it should and I was close to overheating, or if that was normal. I've never seen it hit those numbers before so I think there's a fault. Anyone know at what temp it normally activates ? |

Re: When does the cooling fan kick in ?
I don't like forums where every question is meet with 'do a search' but we've covered this a few times of late so it may be worth having a hunt for longer answers.
Anything under about 107C is fine. Jambo Sent without a real keyboard

Cheers Jambo. Will try that later - was using the mobile and whenever I tried a search for that it took me onto Google.

Re: Cooling fan operation - what temperature?
The above mentioned figures are typical for many bikes - but it would help to know what bike you've got.

Re: Cooling fan operation - what temperature?
Mine comes on at around 102 but the bike runs at 84-85 most of the time.
