No surprise to me
http://www.motorsport.co.uk/formula-...ss537802.shtml
I've done a couple of FE days, and been disappointed with the attitude of the organisers/instructors (one of them bollocked me for overtaking people in Inters group!! Ffs). I'll stick with No Limits cos they are a damn sight nicer people, ta very much. |

Re: No surprise to me
The times I've used FE they've seemed well organised and professional. They only bollocking was for the inters chucking themselves at the scenery, even on the sighting laps.
Looks like a bit of a hatchet job to me, but I've no experience of other operators to compare to. |

Re: No surprise to me
Try other trackday companies and see the difference. I like No Limits because I've come to know Del-Boy and a lot of the staff quite well, and Dave Mabbutt at Hottrax is a nice guy too.

Re: No surprise to me
I'm sure there is good and bad to be seen from different perspectives by all the providers. I was happy enough with No Limits trackday experience apart from the fact it was the Novice Group that were penalised by having a whole session taken away due to the amount of spills and loss of track time over the duration of the day. Apart from that it was awesome. And if I am honest about it, by the end of the day, I was knackered and reasonably happy the last session was cut. But I am sure there were others in my class that were not.
Dirty tactics in business? Who'd have thought. Nice to see people making a stance to quash it though. |

Re: No surprise to me
Looks a bit like restrictive practice to me, and price fixing.
disappointing to see FE haven't been approached for a comment - bit one sided??

Re: No surprise to me
Yeah true there Bri. In terms of using the for track days, as Lozzo says there are better out there, I've been with them a few times and have no reason to seek them out again, Hottrax and No Limits were much better. When it goes off the plan, FE don't seem interested in doing anything about it.

Horses/ courses
Would say more depends on who turns up on the day. Though would say Focussed are a bit more "George, Don't do that" than others. Which suits some better than others I suppose. |

Re: No surprise to me
Been with No Limits, and HotTrax. Both seemed fine, although I thought HotTrax brought out the red flags a bit too often, although I guess this depends entirely on the situation (placement of marshalls, number of marshalls, weather etc).
Anyho, I dislike FE a lot! The numpties won't accept my licence to take part in a track day (silverstone), even though I did the same track three weeks ago with HotTrax! |
