Not again...
Just a short note to say that I had an off last night. Doing about 20 MPH in Shoreditch high st., a pedestrian stepped out in front of me from behind a taxi.
Bike is not looking too well from the front although the R&G's saved a lot of the damage. Pedestrian is in hospital at the mo. and although I was told he'll be fine at the scene, have not got any further on that. Judging by the state of the faring, there was quite a bit of damage. I'm OK. Separated shoulder, bruised ankle and a bit of shock. I haven't contacted insurance company yet but I don't have fully comp. so may have to fork it out myself. May need a bit of assistance getting the old girl back on the road. Will ask when the time comes. Bugger. Matt |

Sorry to hear this Matt, precisely what you didn't want eh? Well glad the ped is still alive (genuinely), at least now you can sue them (and you should, rather than wait five years for their insurance company to bugger you about).
If there's anything I can do, just let me know. . |

Bad news Matt, but as Greg says, take action against the pedestrian, it's his fault. Whatie Dalton maybe able to offer some advice.
Hope you're not in too much pain, heal soon. . |

Matt,
This is awful, what a crap thing to happen. I hope you're alright, despite the shoulder and the bruised bike. I recommend that you tell your insurance company - better that they should find out from you, and not the guy you hit, or even the Police that were no doubt in attendance. I think you can guarantee that he will try and sue you for personal injury, despite the blame. You're insured, he's not. What you might be able to do is claim from the MIB for uninsured losses - ie: that you hit someone who was uninsured. You might want to initiate your own PI claim too. Be on the defensive from the start Matt... this might get nasty. Do it by the book, or someone will throw it at you. Hope we see you soon!
