Thumbs up First pillion

Took Mrs Guru out yesterday morning.

Her first time on a bike and my first time taking a pillion.

After reading a few of the 'pillion' posts I told her what to do and what not to do.

Hooked up the Autocoms and off we went. Glad I had the Autocom.

Didnt go very far... and only covered 30miles in total. But I really enjoyed it and so did she.

Tried to get a bit of everything, 30's, 40's, roundabouts, dual carrigeways and NSL's.

So now we're going to try and get out for an hour or so on a Saturday or Sunday morning (weather permitting) to build up some confidence and experience.

Im glad she enjoyed it.

When I had the standard shock on the back of my bike I swear blind it handled better 2 up . I took a first timer out as well and my first pillion over any large distance . SV handled just fine with no "Moments" to speak of ....... just had to remember to ease off a bit earlier and make sure that back brake is fine after the winter and you`ll be cool .

If it comes to that we'll just need to get her through her test so she can get her own bike

good to hear your Mrs enjoyed being pillion. Taking it easy is a sensible thing to do, gives you both a chance to get used to being on the bike together
