Default '05 SV650 Naked

Hey guys, I'm new here.
Hopefully if all goes to plan I should be picking up a 55 plate SV650 at the weekend.

Went to look at it at the weekend but wasn't able to take a test ride as I'm restricted to 33bhp.

Just wondering if any of you have fitted Renthal flat bars to your naked SV as it's going to be the first mod I make.

I've got the ultra lows on... pretty similar to standard but they've been on that long I can't remember how similar.

Oh yeah renthals crash loads better than standard.

I'm looking at getting the flat/streetfighter style ones. So the seating position is more like a Tuono or Super Duke. Not to keen on the OE handlebars.

I notice you're not that far from me Yorkie Chris.

There's quite a few folk around yorkshire, check out pennine massive section of forum, there's usually some meets going on.

I'd ride it a bit first and see how you get on with standard bars, doesn't really matter how it looks. Also budget for a proper exhaust on it IMO to save about 10kgs.

Yeah, I've been looking at the Beowulf ones. They seem to get a good review and they're nice and cheap.
The Renthals aren't for the looks, mostly for the riding position.
I've just posted in the Pennine Massive forum
