Default What's top speed of standard pointy?

I can't get over an indicated 108. MCN quotes 125 for the curvy, but new one not stated. So whats wrong with my bike? Then again MCN quotes 36mpg but I got 53mpg (at 90 - 100)
What will help - a change to a race can?
I'm still loving the light weight and looks compared with my old Bandit, but on that I strugggled hold on as it went along at 120.
100 is only standard speed of the cagers on the motorway, and I want to be able to get away from them sometimes.
Thanks for your help.

Standard pointy easy 130 mph on the speedo.

The SV does do good mpg.

Is it restricted to 33bhp?

Sounds that way......

But I'm glad most maniacs here don't quite travel at the ton as "standard" speed.

No ton in Cumbernauld? Hasn't the A9 (also in Scotland although the other side) got the top speed record caught by police?

That would be fantastic if it is. I would fall in love all over again once I get it removed.
How can I be sure it's restricted - and more importantly how the h*ll can I get that alien John Hurt style off my bike!

Well if it is restricted then and you are sure it is then i will if its a curvy then two fins in the carbs with holes in if i remember, but if its a pointy then think its something to do with the ECU but don't hold me to that.

Cheers Didge

I had 144mph showing on my K6 and still had a 1000rpm to go!!

Probably works out to be about 130 in real money
