Finally got the bike to start and took it out for a ride. It is such a blast to ride this bike compared to my precious zx6r.
Everything works great and now I am trying to figure out why my rpm needle does not move at all. The speedo works as well as the brights and turn signals. Where to check |

The tachometer gets its signal from the ECU, brown and black wire. Either the wire is broken (most likely), the tach is dead (less likely) or the ECU has a fault (least likely).
You'll need a meter, you can use it to check for continuity of br/bk wire on ohms range between ECU and gauge and you can get a rough idea that you're getting a signal by putting it on AC volts, black lead to the battery (neg), red lead to back of gauge plug (br/bk wire) - start the bike and you should see a couple of volts, varying as the revs change.
