Fast action throttle

Hey all, not sure this post is completely worthy of the 'tuning n tweaking' section but thought I'd share this little 'mod' I accidentally came across.
I have hands/fingers that resemble a bunch of bananas! Useful for somethings in life .. not so useful for others. I've always found it a bit of a problem gripping the standard handlebar grips no matter what bikes I've owned/ridden due to the relatively small circumference of the standard grips so in the past I've used the foam type grips (which I hate) but they do a reasonable job in reducing finger cramp especially when wearing winter gloves.
Looking for another alternative I stumbled across a pair of Oxford fat grips, they look similar to the hotgrips pattern and overall they are about 6mm larger around so much more suited to my fists of ham! Having fitted them I found they not only vastly improved my hand/finger comfort but almost eliminated vibration at certain revs.
So... all good there, the extra benefit I found is they actually reduced the amount of throttle twist needed at any given revs/speed, a bit like doing the 'cable tie trick' or the R6 mod. I don't think it has quite the same reduction in twist ratio but it's definitely reduced the throttle twist
So all in all... it's been a win/win mod for me and all for the princely sum of £11.95. As said... not a life changing mod but if you find the standard grips a bit small around this could be the answer.

Good to know. I can't get on with foam grips either.
