The craic last year was a Barrister moved into a derelict house next to the course and has tried (unsuccessfully) 3 times to get the racing cancelled.
The selfish ***** wants it cancelled so it maximises the return on his investment renovating the building... allegedly. Looks like he's succeeded this time. C |

Sounds like someone in the local authority needs their ears boxing - if you move next to a racetrack, especially one that used to be a WWII airfield and holds drag racing events, I don't think a little bit of noise from time to time should be unexpected.
The airfields noise plan is located at http://www.elvingtonairfield.co.uk/a...ise-management, and I think they're being fairly reasonable - 16 days max on the really noisy stuff at weekends, and at least one weekend off per month. |

With Croft now being the legal president, which office junior is going to stand up to an (intentionally) Irate barrister on the phone?

Absolutely ridiculous. You have a well paid job and option of buying a property almost anywhere in UK and you choose one next a track. Wouldn't mind but I would pay extra for it.I could use it myself and maybe run a little sideline from it like a b and b or overnight safe parking for its customers.

Problem is, Mr Barrister was, no doubt, fully aware that he could buy a property next to an air museum/race circuit and then have it silenced. Everyone knows what's happened at Croft. Perhaps Top Gear need to know.
