Default Acid on swingarm

Doh!!

Its basically now mirror shiny where the acid went (used autosol on it).

How do I get the original (matt) finish back?

Some energetic "wet & drying" would do the job I would think

AFAIK the matt finish is caused by laquer, so if that's been removed I can't see anything but re-laquering doing the job.

Just pour acid all over the rest of the swinging arm and instant polished look.

Fraid so... Or more likely, replace the arm, they're really cheap (I've got a new-old-stock one in the shed to fit at some point, that cost me £30 in its original box, and I got another one ages ago for £20) But a scotchbrite pad or a brushing disc will at least take the shine out of it, give it a brushed finish instead of polished.

Was thinking of angling my Tax disk just right ... or perhaps a sticker??? ... what sticker would look good/as if it was meant to be there?!?!?
