What did you say or do

When you first met your partner ?
I don't know how or why but the good lady and myself were talking about it before tea
Apparently I borrowed a pound from her on the "First date" and I only gave
"The pound you borrowed" back after 20 odd years.She then went to her special box and produced a crumpled twice out of date old fashioned paper pound note which I had given back to her 17-18 years ago. The other thing that came to light in the conversation was that when she asked why I loved
her I replied "You make nice chips"

Come on,what was your chat up line or deed and did it work or have dire consequencies?

Well, me and my partner met on the internet, so I dont remember the first we said there, but the first thing I said to her when I met her for the first time was "hi, you ok?". It was at alexandra palace bike show about...5 years ago? She lives very near, and when I said I was going we worked out meeting up (both with someone etc etc) then we wandered around the bike show together, hand in hand, for 45 minutes until she had to go. I was so nervous I kept turning left, and finally realised when I walked past the suzuki 500cc GP bike for the 4th time!

She kissed me before she went, and we have been together ever since!

And why do I love her? Because of everything she is. And her smashing fried egg on toast, no-one can fry an egg like Miss Alpinestarhero!

Well...I was a bit intoxicated when she walked up to me at a tailgate and I said, "How tall are you?" She was sober, but found me wildly amusing and accepted an invite back to my place for an after-game party. We had a blast and are still together...

P.S. I didn't remember any of this until the next day when I asked her how we met.

Been with hubby 19 years now, poor bugger . He was dressed as Freddie Kruger when we first met and a day or two later when we started chatting it was telling eachother what our (polytechnic refectory) dinner looked like; spagetti = tapeworm, bolognaise = catsick etc. What a honey

well me and ric (tsm) first "met" on here, got talking on msn and become good mates, cant remember what we first said!
about a week before my accident this year we finally kinda admitted we liked each other, i then went and had my accident, the day i came out of hospital i had a suprise visitor waiting for me at my parents

hmmm let me see, i went for an interview at wetherspoons and mr24_7 was the interviewer! he asked me the obligitory questions and went on to ask how flexible i was, my rude mind took over and i replied "thats a little personal, but very!"
He blushed, we flirted for a while, became buddies (of a certain nature) but i had fallen for him big time so asked if he wanted a girlfriend!!! and here we are 2 years 7 months later!!!

Pete and I met online. We first spoke on July 17th 2002, and on Saturday 24th August we met for the first time at a petrol station just down the road from my house and went off to Anglesey for a bike rally. The plan had been to camp, but, being Wales, it had been p*ss*ing it down for days, the field was a bog, so we wimped out and found a B&B. The following day he suggested that as the rally was a wash-out, we went to visit his Dad in Lampeter for the night, which we duly did. That was the first time I ever cleaned his bike..............the Daytona was minging!

At the end of the weekend he gave me a card which said inside

'August Bank Holiday 2002

A more permanent memento of a crazy weekend.
Of when anything seemed possible.
I hope that in 5 years time, when you see this card, you have a little smile on the outside and a warm glow on the inside.
