After seeing the influx of clothing and other such issues (Water on visor etc) I wondered who here rides with a visor open for the majority of the time.
See i ride with my visor open all the time, apart from in heavy rain and when it's too uncomfortable to do so, like high speed. I barely ever wash my visor and if it gets covered in rain i wipe it from time to time with my glove and that does the trick. Is this strange behavior? or am i not alone? |

also even at motorway the wind isnt too bad, cos of the lens i'd wear it down all the time if i wasn't so steamy |

Personally I'd not recomend it. Lots of cr@p can be thrown up off the roads, not a good idea to receive a lump of stuff in the eyeball even at low speeds. In summer a fly in the eye is worth a bike in the hedge.

My eyes start streaming if i go around with the visor up loads in this weather, which ain't ideal. I open it when I come to a stop, if riding round town its usually open.
I always have it a open a tiny bit unless I'm on a motorway or blasting round the twisties. And I'd much rather I had to clean that crap off my visor every day than off my face every day! |

Used a lid on the 125 for a while with a visor made of cracks, couldn't see a thing through that.
Trust me on this one, flies in your eyes hurt a lot!

Visor down always. Might crack it open at the lights to stop it steaming up, but other than that, always down.

I had my visor open as I was pulling away from my house, put it down all but a crack to let the nice breeze in (i think it was on our one day of summer this year) and a mentalist wasp flew in! was not fun! but lucky he wasnt in the mood for stinging!
and i did my best to not throw my bike at the sceanary! |
