Going to South West France next July!
![]() All scoped out and deposits down. Take the SV down to London, meet up with my brother. Collect him and his R6, Eurotunnel to Calais. Head for Rouen, down to Le Mans, stop there for a few photies, then off to Limoges for a week. Then a week off toasty weather with super smooth tarmac...... yeeha. Anyone have any tips? First things are service before I go, insurance and breakdown cover for Europe. Probably make sure got some basics like fuses, cable ties, tyre plugs. After that, pair of pants and a toothbrush really. Cheers |

Luckybastid!
![]() ![]() Not a better way to beat the winter biking blues than planning a big trip. ![]() ![]() You WILL take too much gear. Lay it out, half it, half it again. ![]() |

Check your phone will work abroad Take insurance and V5 (in waterproof baggy) Earplugs Bungee straps Tyre pressure indicator Insulation or gaffer tape Cable ties String Sunglasses ![]() Suntan lotion Travel plug Pocket knife Phone charger Camera charger Pen and paper That's the list I had when I went away, didn't use most of it, but better to be safe than sorry! yes, said pants will be some suitable space age technology anti-chaf, anti-sweat, reversible self cleaning.
Suppose I could save weight and ditch the toothbrush and eat garlic for a week. The logic here is it'll disguise any bad and/or hangover breath. Seriously though... Will be meeting sister and she's taking a car, so I might luck out and ditch a whole load of gear with her in London. Good list Darren, thanks. Think pretty much most of that is covered although didn't think about the V5 and insurance docs. Cheers Folks. |
