my new SV has a an art can and it isnt ticking over as it should would i need to change the jets in the carb to meke it run like it should??????

It's unlikely to be the can. We had an ART for around 40,000 miles and no problem, and there are several others with them who don't seem to have a problem.

There could be any number of reasons why the tickover isn't right. Sticking chokes, needs a good service, plugs, carb balance.......etc.

does it still tick over badly when you've given it a chance to fully warm up?
Is idle speed set too low?

As Lissa said, its unlikely to be the can. I have her and pete's 40,000 mile old art can and mine ran smoother as soon as it was fitted.
