Default Best Non-Sportsbikes; Fast Bikes Feb 08

Spotted this article in Fast Bikes Feb 08; SV650 came in at number 7, with some interesting comments:
"Suzuki don't expect you to thrash your SV. So, it must have been an accident that it's the best bargain hooligan tool since the RD350. It's a doddle to mono high and long. Throw in some simple mods - tyres, pads, suspension respring and revalve - and you have a real nutter for the masses, and even a trackday terrorist."

Not a mag that I usually buy, so interesting to see this....

So what bikes beat the SV? More expensive bikes?

I like the idea of the new GSX600F thingy, sounds quite clever for a sub-£5000 bike, lots of GSXR tricks on it

They're right about the hooligan aspect of the SV, I haven't behaved in quite such an anti-social manner on the roads since I sold my mega-bucks YPVS engined 350LC in 1987.

mmmmm, Im Indoors gave up Suzy apart from other things, because he was afraid he'd started doing very silly things because it was more than capable of very silly things. His first big bike wa an Rd500, which true to its infamous image spat him off and ate him fer breakfast. Being the owner of several Rds, he'd be inclined to agree. This is his baby
