yes, I have - I hereby challenge anyone to have one slower

Mine was at less than 15mph, caused by inexperience (<2 months riding) and a poor (freshly laid, possibly icy) road surface. Does it really count if you land on the bike instead of in front of it?

Nope but I power slid around a corner and had a huge wobble. Feet and arms everywhere but kept it upright.

I swear those Raleigh burners were dangerous!

WIKI 'by a rear wheel gaining traction '

I have standard rubber, therefore they dont gain traction in the first place.

unfortunately, i shall be visiting a work colleague in hospital later this week that has just had one. He has now got pins and plate in his knee and damaged ankle tendons. He had only had his 2005 R1 with 800 miles on the clock a week, poor bloke. He wasn't inexperienced as he's had a few bikes, but in the autumn sold his Mille, got a Triumph Tiger which he wasn't impressed with, sold it a fortnight ago and got the R1. He's really feeling sorry for himself. He's at a loss to what happened as he said he left a set of lights, but was at a lean and he felt the back end go-as you do. Next minute bike flips and it landded on his leg.....oooops.
