I unpacked my Scottoiler over the weekend, and tried to get to grips with all the tubes and fixings.
Thanks to Mr Squid for giving me details of how to connect to the vacuum on the K3, have located that bit no problem! So, what I'm looking for from you peeps is descriptions of where you've fitted your oiler reservoir, and how you've directed the tubing down to the swing-arm and onto the chain. Ideally I'm after pictures, and detailed descriptions... can anyone help? I'd rather not start super-gluing things to my swing-arm if possible ![]() Squid: I'd really appreciate a look at how you've done the mounting on your swing-arm if it's possible for you to send/post a piccy of it. Do you have your pilion pegs attached? Since I've removed mine, I bolted the reservior using one of the holes where the pegs normaly attach. The tube then runs down by the shock (kept taught to prevent the chain rubbing on it), and cable tied to the underside of the swing arm. I put it there to avoid losing the already limited underseat space.
I've not really got the delivery tube idealy placed however, something I really should sort out ![]() |

under the pillion seat, then the tube out and round near the front sprocket, and underneath the swingarm
I'll post some pics tonight if you want. Would show you on Weds, but can't make it this week due to babysitting ![]() |

On the K2 there's a threaded hole in the frame behind the LHS black vented plastic thing under the main seat. This happens to take the little scottoiler bracket bolt perfectly and you don't lose any storage.
The pointy bikes may have the same. Worth a look. ![]() |

I've got the reservoir mounted below the sidepanel on the left hand side, cable tied to the frame, there's plenty of room for it there and it doesn't stand out particularly, actually it's fairly neat fitting in the space, on my 650SX I had it under the pillion seat but outside of the luggage space, that's not possible on the present bike, as there would be no access for filling and adjustment, I'll take a picture of the delivery tube plate tonight.

Check the scottoiler webside for pics of where to attach the vaccum tube.

The scottoiler website might not seem all that great, but the guide is accurate and for a K3/4 it does literally attach the way the photo shows.
