Ok. I've put on what I though was an SRAD 750 shock.
I removed the spring from it and from the original SV shock to swap 'em over, stiffer spring on the SV one apparently. SV spring didnt fit!! ![]() Any ideas? I had to chop the battery box, battery holder on the tank hinge and remove the mounting lugs for the sidestand cutout switch to get the bar steward in! But I'm stuck with it for now until I can work out what shock I've fitted and get it resprung. Help please! |

Probably is a SRAD shock. They are comparable in terms of shock length and spring rate, but i don't think I have ever seen in info on the diameters being comparable. If you want a stiffer spring, then I would have either gone for a ZX6R shock or bought a new spring for the GSXR shock -> maybe try Ohlins or Hyperpro

The only photos I've got are the ones of it after I fitted it!
Being the sensible chap that I am I deleted the photobucket image as I didn't think I'd need it aagain! ![]() |

Did you ever find the spring thread you did?
You don't happen to know the ID of the Srad one do you? And what weight (lbs) should I be looking at? Last edited by Jester666; 12-02-08 at 11:40 AM. |
