Default Throttle Response slooooowwwwwww

Seems as i'm accelerating this morning that the CBR just didnt want to go with it and caught me out on an overtake of a car, i also noticed it last night on the way back from the missus's. Normally I just ride throttle fully open on this specific piece of road but this time as I cracked it open it seemed to make a vibrating noise (like you were hitting rumble strips (hard to explain)) hit a blank patch and then catch and go. Just caught me by suprise but cant think why it is doing it. Gonna really warm it up at lunch and then see if it happens again.

Any suggestions what it could be?

Dirt in the fuel tank or filter? Got to be something simple like that hasn't it?

(The bumps weren't your foot being in the way of your rear wheel were they?)

Okay been having a think, there is no sign of lagging when I sit and rev the nuts off it on the drive, only on final drive whilst moving in gear...just been having a think, prob means nothing...

I have had a similar thing; try using super unleaded and see if that cleares everything up - worked for me

Could still be fuel starvation...

Could be carbs, fuel line, filter etc ned to go through them. When just revving enough fuel may enter the carb which is a bit different from a consistent high supply when motoring.

Does it always happen or just in this recent cold snap in the mornings? Do you ride off almost as soon as starting up? Could be fuel vapour freezing. I'm sure I've seen something on this here before? I know it can happen but whether its the prob here, sorry, dunno.

Right I just went out at lunch. It took a few goes to start first and the thing nearly spat me off in two corners. It is taking a while to deliver the power when i open the throttle. It pushes it a lil then nothing then BANG it goes. I pulled up and stopped at petrol station and revved it like a bitch. It made the noise at standstill and sounds like a different bike when revving now.

Could be the fuel, garages use winter fuel and it could be cos its getting warmer its not liking it. try running it dry and filing up again with new fuel.
